YSL Tuxedo Palette

I’ve been playing with more eye makeup recently, considering I’m more of a lipstick girl. And while I still prefer neutral eyeshadow for everyday, the YSL Couture Variation Palette in Tuxedo is my go-to for when I’m feeling bold or dramatic. It is winter, after all.

There is a nude version of the Couture Variation, which is equally dreamy, however the Tuxedo wins me with its smokey and sultry shades. Half of them are white, greys, and black–black smokey eye sorted. The other half are cool-toned hues for a more playful eyelid display. This palette may have been created with spring in mind, but the rich tones translates easily for winter wear and I love that about it. Glamour eyes all year round! And undoubtedly a great addition to my mostly-neutral eye makeup lineup.

Buttery texture, intense payoff, amazing blendability–all these qualities make this palette excellent and also what I would expect from a high-end brand. It’s crazy beautiful too.
