Romantic Beauty Looks

If you’re following me on Facebook (and I hope you are!) you might have seen the beauty treats I’ve received from L'Oréal last week–oh how they’ve brightened up my day! I’ve been able to play with the latest makeup launches and thought I’d let you know what I think of each of them. They include the new Brow Artist Plumper (fibre gel brow mascara), True Match crayon concealers and blushes, Colour Riche L'Ombre Pure (gel-infused eye shadow), Infallible 2-step, and the much-anticipated Mega Volume Miss Manga.

On that note, I’ve just fallen in love with the romantic beauty looks from the Dolce and Gabbana FW 15. They’re so dreamy and feminine. Below you’ll find colour combinations inspired by recreating the looks.

l'oreal colour riche l'ombre pure eyeshadow on

Clockwise: Colour Riche L'Ombre Pure Eyeshadow in Mauvie Star, Cafe St. Germain, Snow in Megeve and Macadam Princess. Brow Artist Plumper in Transparent. True Match Blush in Luminous Rose. Infallible 2-Step in Touors Teaberry.

Brow Artist Plumper

($19.99) - This is your Benefit Gimme Brow on a budget and works just as well. Fashioned with a larger brush than the former, it plumps and tints your brows into thickness perfection. There’s three shades to choose from: Blonde, Dark Brunette, and Transparent.

Colour Riche L'Ombre Pure Eyeshadow

($19.99) - These are claimed to be gel-infused eyeshadows and I find the consistency to be in between powder and cream. These eyeshadows are highly pigmented and silky smooth. There are 10 shades to choose from which are mostly nudes and browns in matte and shimmer finish. Surprisingly, I find myself enjoying Mauvie Star (holographic purple), the only color in this range.

l'oreal true match crayon concealer and blush on

Clockwise: True Match Blush in Golden Amber. Infallible 2-Step in Boundless Burgundy. Brow Artist Plumper in Dark Brunette. Colour Riche L'Ombre Pure Eyeshadow in Breaking Nude, Die for Chocolate and Black is Black.

Infallible 2-Step

($29.99) - I’ve avoided longwear lipstick formulas like the plague because they are severely-drying to my lips no matter how much I apply lip conditioner. So I was afraid of trying these. To my delight, these aren’t that bad! I would liken the drying effect to a matte lipstick, but since these are longwear, there is the advantage of applying lip balm anytime without erasing colour! Yes, it lasts all day and even micellar water won’t make it budge. The 4 new shades include a pink and a variety of reds, which is perfect for fall.

Colour Riche Lip Liner Magique

($23.99) - I’m not exactly sure how to use this transparent silicone-based lip liner. The only way I’ve figured how to use it is to buff off any mistakes when using the Infallible 2-Step, as well as softening the edges.

l'oreal brow artist plumper on

Clockwise: Brow Artist Plumper in Blonde. Colour Riche L'Ombre Pure Eyeshadow in Quartz Fume and Gold Mania. Infallible 2-Step in Relentless Rouge. True Match Blush in Nectarine.

True Match Crayon Concealer

($25.99) - A concealer in crayon form seems to be imminent and lots of fun. The creamy consistency and blendability of this is amazing. Coverage is spot on. For best results, dot on blemished areas and blend with a brush. There are 4 shades available: Ivory, Beige, Natural, and Vanilla.

True Match Blush

(27.99) - They have updated this range with 4 new shades: Rosy Cheeks (muted pink), Golden Amber (golden bronze), Nectarine(bright coral), Luminous Rose (baby pink).

l'oreal mega volume miss manga on

Clockwise: Colour Riche L'Ombre Pure Eyeshadow in Macaron Vanilla. Mega Volume Miss Manga. Colour Riche Lip Liner Magique. Infallible 2-Step in Captivated by Cerise. True Match Crayon Concealer in Natural.

Mega Volume Miss Manga

(25.99) - Mega volume is the mega right description for this new mascara. It features a bendable wand, which has never bent in my experience, but that doesn’t stop it from depositing perfect coats of lengthening, volumizing and curl-enhancing mascara. No clumps. Getting the doll-eye effect with this is way too easy and I find myself reaching out for this more often than my Benefit Roller Lash. Overall, L'Oréal has certainly come up with some very good products. The Miss Manga mascara, Brow Artist Plumper, and L'Ombre Pure Eyeshadows are amazing products which I highly recommend. If you catch these on your next trip to the drugstore, do let me know which ones you pick up!
