Ninety Mile Beach.
Ending our visit to the Northland, we made quick stop to see the lengths of the famous Ninety Mile Beach. It was a grey day with the sun peeking out at times, while we relaxed with the salty breeze and sound of the waves gushing in. The overcast created reflections of the sky off the wet sand, blurring the lines of the water and the sky. Looking sideways, both ends of the beach disappeared into the horizon.
(Fun fact: the Ninety Mile Beach, which is officially a highway, is actually 88 kilometers long.)
