MAC Collection: MAC Is Beauty
Last week, I had a wee makeover at MAC Smith & Caugheys using colours from their latest collection to have arrived in NZ, MAC Is Beauty. The collection is inspired by the 60s and 70s, with bright colours and graphic lines abound. If you’ve seen the campaign photography, you’ll get a sense of the explosion of pastel and bright colours that are now sitting pretty at your favourite MAC store.
MAC Makeup Artist Danielle Xi introduced me to this new colourful collection. There’s an abundance of happy shades for the fluidline range, all 16 of them! There’s new colours for eyeshadow, lipsticks, and nail lacquers as well. For my look, she created a wearable one as opposed to the bright green eyeshadow and black graphic lines she was wearing. My look consisted of glittery copper eyes and peachy nude lips, which I adored! I haven’t done my makeup at MAC before and it was quite a treat.
I have brought home a few pieces from the collection, courtesy of MAC. Lipsticks Diva-ish (muted neutral hot pink) and Silly (white pink), Brassy fluidline (metallic warm gold), and Preening (pastel mint) eyeshadow. The colours are so fun and I love it! Hungry for more? Temptalia has swatches of the collection.
