human+kind Wash Off Facial Cleanser & Day + Night Cream
human+kind is a natural skincare range founded in Ireland and is now available in New Zealand. Their products are created to be simple, affordable, and 100% natural. Simple–products are versatile multi-taskers designed to simplify the skincare regime. Affordable–price range is $15-$40. Natural–100% no nasties. Need I mention the packaging is gorgeous? The colors and design details are catchy and irresistible.
Keeping in line with the simple approach to skincare, you will only find one moisturizer in their range–the Day + Night Cream ($38.80). It contains Avocado Oil, Asiatica and Marshmallow extract. If you’re a lazy daisy like me, this one’s a complete best friend. It’s light enough to use during the day and rich enough to use at night. I have mentioned many times that my skin is dry and I often struggle to find creams rich enough to keep me moisturized. This, however, keeps my skin happy and hydrated, day and night. Since it has no SPF, the extra step of applying sunscreen is essential for daytime use.
Now, I’m very wary of cleansers. Having dry skin also means having sensitive skin. I was brave enough to try human+kind’s Wash Off Facial Cleanser ($28.95) because it is natural. This is the first time I’ve swayed from my long-time usual cleanser and I’m glad that I did! The Wash Off Facial Cleanser is now my go-to cleanser. It’s an instant favourite! This cream cleanser is infused with Aloe Vera, Rosehip Seed Oil, and Cacao Butter. It smells so good–it reminds me of a childhood candy which I’m still trying to pinpoint. It has a minty feeling when applied to the face which is refreshing. A deep-cleansing cloth is included in the pack and it the kindest and softest thing. I use it buff the the cleanser onto the skin. Dirt and makeup dissolves into it like magic. The cloth is machine-washable and is said to last for months. The pairing of the cleanser and the deep-cleansing cloth is amazing–it cleans very well yet stays very gentle.
I’m really enjoying these two products from human+kind and I’m keen to try more products from their range. Aside from a zero-tolerance approach to chemical nasties, they also do not test on animals. Certainly, “skincare with a conscience.”
