Estée Lauder Launch (November 27, 2014)
I attended the Estée Lauder Launch last week at The Sugar Club (top of Sky Tower!). While The Sugar Club does not revolve like the Orbit Restaurant a level below it, there are a few Sky Walkers who revolve around The Sugar Club. (And I don’t mean Star Wars by any sense.) And there were few jumpers too! It was an exciting view, especially on a clear and beautiful day. Drinks and nibbles aside, the Estee Lauder team proceeded with a live demo of the new products that are coming out early next year. Hayley Wren, National Education Manager, used the products on model Jo starting from a clean face to a sophisticated makeup look. Here are the Estée Lauder products you should watch out for early 2015:
Enlighten is a skincare range composed of Dark Spot Correcting Night Serum, Even Skintone Correcting Creme, and EE cream (Even Effect Skintone Corrector). I’m pretty sure I’ve heard about the EE cream before, but apparently this has yet to launch in New Zealand and you have to wait until early next year until you can get your hands on them. The Enlighten range mainly targets pigmentation to even the skintone with Oxybenzone as the active ingredient. Effects are said to be visible in a as little as two weeks!
New Double Wear Stay-in-Place Eye Pencil & Little Black Primer
The “Old” Double Wear Eye Pencils seemed to be a hit for Estée Lauder fans in the past and they’re now releasing them in color–nine different vibrant shades. Certainly not news in the eyeliner department, but if you’re one of the fans, then you’d be delighted that these eyeliners have incorporated the word fun in them. The Double Wear Stay-in-Place Eye Pencils are said to be creamy, long-wearing, and water-resistant. There’s a silicone smudge tool on the other tip too for that good old smudge. Available March 2015. RRP $52.
The Little Black Primer is Estee Lauder’s take on the eyelash primer to help your lashes look thicker and longer. It’s tinted black so you can wear it alone or before a swipe of your favorite mascara. Hayley applied the Little Black Primer on Jo’s one eye and applied mascara only on the other eye, and the difference was huge.
Pure Color Envy Shine Sculpting Lipstick
Lastly, some lip love. The Pure Color Envy Shine Sculpting Lipstick comes in eight shades (as pictured above). They are said to be sculpting, hydrating, and illuminating. The description might be a bit heavy on fancy marketing words, but fret not as I have news for you in the next paragraph. These shiny lippies will be available on the market April 2015. RRP $59.
More good news. I have been given some of the new products to try and (most likely) review, so you can have a read before you decide on purchasing these shiny new products. In the next few weeks, I’ll be giving you my opinions on the Dark Spot Correcting Night Serum, EE Cream, Double Wear Stay-in-Place Eye Pencil in Electric Cobalt, and Pure Color Envy Shine Sculpting Lipstick in Pink Dragon. Watch out for this space!
