neutrogena body oil, nivea in-shower lotion, aveeno on

Admitting that I have dry skin seem to be a popular introduction for most of my posts, but that is the truest it can get. Having said that, the dryness comes with taking the extra step of ensuring my legs don’t look like a country suffering from drought. I’m sure most of you are familiar with the products pictured above, but if not, then read on to find out why I love each of them.

Neutrogena Body Oil - I like to slather this sweet-smelling oil just before showering. I find that covering myself with oil prevents soap from stripping off my skin’s oily layer. Isn’t that what they do to babies? It’s a lightweight oil with a nice fragrance (light sesame). I won’t recommend using this as a moisturizer as it doesn’t absorb easily. If you add a few drops to your favorite lotion, it’ll give your legs a nice sheen. This works well as a massage oil too.

Nivea In-Shower Body Lotion (Honey Indulging) - I’ve mentioned this product briefly when I first got it but I want to talk about it in more detail now. This in-shower body lotion is very useful when pressed for time or lazy to moisturise. If you haven’t tried anything like this before, it’s a pretty concept to master. You use the lotion as the last step in your shower routine, rinse it off, and you’re good to go. I find this moisturising enough and my skin doesn’t feel tight after showering.

Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion - This is my unholy grail. My skin is just different without it. The colloidal oat that’s the active ingredient works amazing! I don’t know how, but it just works! My skin is supple and hydrated for the whole day. I haven’t quite found another product that would replace the Aveeno.

So these are my favorite body care products to use at the moment. I don’t use them together all at once. Reaching for one product over the other would depend on the time that I have and the degree of my laziness. But if I were to pick one, I’d go with the unholy grail.
