With the amount of new products I’ve been trying recently, there’s bound to be a few hard hits and misses. Then there are those that fall in between: products I want to love, but won’t love me back. That maybe an overstatement. But I thought you might want to know about these. There’s a new sunscreen in town dressed in the brightest and happiest stripe. When asked if I wanted to trial this, I said yes judging by the cute looks alone.  Cherry Black by Skin Institute is a facial sunscreen with SPF30. The cream is naturally pale pink (due to the cherry blossom extract), which renders a brightening effect on the skin. It dries quickly and that’s where my woes come in. As it dries, it dries out my skin. I expect this to work wonderfully for normal to combination skin types. I would compare the brightening effect to the Bobbi Brown CC cream, minus the shimmer. Dryness may be a theme here, so if you are suffering from dry skin, it’s best to move on from these products. The book is harmless, though. That said, while a bit too drying for my skin, the scent of the anatomicals 100% not Chanel, but cocoa all the same  body cleanser is to die for. This smells ridiculously deliciously good, I just want to eat it. I guarantee this will beat any of your current cocoa-scented product a hundred times. I’d sometimes sneak and use this as a handwash just to get a whiff of the scent, which I’d regret because my hands would be too dry that I’d have to double my dose of vanilla hand cream. Then my hands smell like cake, and I’d go hungry for cake. Which I will find, sooner or later. If you love chocolate, this is a must-try! What products do you wish worked for you? Let me know below!
