Britomart Fashion Sessions 2015: Beauty Looks

My first Britomart Fashion Sessions happened this year and if there’s anything, I cannot wait for next year’s event! The fashion shows showcased the current Autumn/Winter collection of designers Trelise Cooper, Kathryn Wilson, Zambesi, Taylor, WORLD, plus a special show created by the Mindfood Style group. I’ve corresponded with M.A.C to get the juice on each show’s beauty looks. Read on to find out! (Credit: Photography by Sam Lee/Wonho Studio for Britomart Group. 1,2.)

TRELISE COOPER, Makeup led by Kiekie Stanners for M.A.C Cosmetics

“Chunky embellished eyes on a young girl ready to party,” says Nicole Thompson. This looks reminds me of Chanel Spring ‘14 Couture in a much tamed manner. Keeping the look soft and feminine with M.A.C Face and Body Foundation, M.A.C Lipstick in Saint Germain, a touch of M.A.C Pro Glitter in Silver under the eyes adds the perfect party vibe.

KATHRYN WILSON, Makeup by Danielle Xi for M.A.C Cosmetics

Shoes were the main focus of the show and most people will were probably looking at the models toes than their faces. For this, a simply yet defined makeup does the trick. Danielle Xi’s inspiration: “This beautiful young girl has fresh, glowing skin as if she has just woken up. A slick, winged out black eyeliner makes her look feminine, to take her makeup from day to night.” For this look, Danielle used M.A.C Sheertone Blush in Blushbaby, M.A.C Liquid Liner in Boot Black, M.A.C Lipstick in Hot Tahiti, M.A.C Pro Longwear Eye Shadow in Lie Low.

ZAMBESI, Makeup by Kiekie Stanners for M.A.C Cosmetics

“The quintessential Zambesi woman,” describes Kiekie Stanners, “…celebrating the colour palette of the A/W 15 Collection, using taupe to sculpt the eyes and dark plums to define the lips.” Simple but edgy. This look was a perfect match to the collection’s cool attitude. Dark and mellow tones were achieved using M.A.C Eye Kohl in Powersurge, M.A.C Fluidline in Blacktrack, M.A.C Lipstick in Cyber.

MiNDFOOD STYLE, Makeup by Danielle Xi for M.A.C Cosmetics

The Mindfood Style group created a show out of all the participating designer’s collection. Mix and match game, with fun makeup to boot. This time, Danielle Xi’s created this makeup look with this in mind: “This girl looks effortless and cool for her night out. A pop of colour is applied as a delicate, floating eye liner and the dark plum lip is both feminine and edgy.” Danielle used M.A.C Prep + Prime Natural Radiance, M.A.C Fluidline in Waveline, M.A.C Eye Shadow in Freshwater

WORLD, Makeup by Kiekie Stanners for M.A.C Cosmetics

“A sunset of vivid colour – electric yellow and shocking pink tones used on the eyes and cheeks, and the perfect lacquered red lip to represent the colours of a Tequila Sunrise cocktail!” perfectly described by Kiekie Stanners. The vibrant quirky clothes needed a makeup look to accentuate the playful mood of the collection, and this topped off every outfit perfectly. Kiekie created the sunset cocktail with M.A.C Chromagraphic Pencil in Primary Yellow, M.A.C Chromagraphic Pencil in Process Magenta, M.A.C Pro Longwear Lip Crème in Perpetual Flame.
